Sound host playoff game Friday

Strong Island Sound News Release


Patchogue, N.Y.-The Strong Island Sound are proud to announce that on Friday March 10th at 7:30 p.m. at Suffolk Community College in Selden, Long Island, they will be hosting a first-round ABA playoff game. Their opponent will be the Birmingham Magicians.

The Sound will also have another celebrity guest player that game. United States Air Force Technical Sergeant Norton will trade in his military uniform for Strong Island Sound home whites for one day. Sgt. Norton is representing our military personnel. The Sound would like to honor of all the brave men and women of our armed forces and the job that they perform.

The Strong Island Sound have won 7 straight games heading into the postseason. Their inaugural season concluded with a 16-14 record and a second place finish in the Roger Brown Division. Their opponent for the first round game will be the Birmingham Magicians, who finished the regular season at 6-13 and are one of the Wild Card teams that qualified for the playoff tournament.
