
Soul Sign Clint Stoerner, Activate Three Players

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Soul have signed QB Clint Stoerner following the injury to starting QB Tony Graziani. They have also activated FB George Layne, DL Gabe Nyenhuis and DB Aric Williams from the injured reserve list.
Stoerner (6'2", 210, Arkansas) began the season with the Nashville Kats and started two games before being released. He completed 35-of-63 passes for 456 yards with six touchdowns despite two interceptions. Prior to this season, he was traded to the Kats from the Dallas Desperados during the off-season building up to the 2006 season. With the Kats in 2006, Stoerner started 13 games and connected on 233-of-394 passing for 3,134 yards with 54 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in leading the Kats to the postseason for the first time in five seasons. Before being traded to the Kats, he played in 16 games with the Desperados and was named to the League's All-Rookie Team. He shattered the League's rookie passing records in attempts (506), completions (322), passing yards (3,918) and touchdowns (77).
