Chicago Rush News Release
The Chicago Rush announced today it has signed wide receiver Rob Mager to a three-year contract. Mager replaces wide receiver Buchie Ibeh on the Rush roster. Ibeh was waived earlier in the week.
In addition, the Rush has placed wide receiver Carl Ford on the team's Injured Reserve list.
Mager (6-3, 205, University of Indianapolis) comes to Chicago after spending the 2005 and 2006 seasons playing for the af2's Louisville Fire. In 2006, he was named the league's Offensive Player of the Year after catching 143 passes for 1,918 yards and 54 touchdowns.
The Central Division-leading Rush travels to Grand Rapids to play the Rampage Saturday night at Van Andel Arena.
The Rush (5-1) enters the game riding a five-game winning streak, while Grand Rapids (2-4) is coming off a 52-41 loss in Kansas City last weekend.
