
Soul release QB Matt Sauk

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Soul announced today they have released QB Matt Sauk.
Sauk (6'1", 225, Utah State) replaced injured starting QB Tony Graziani in six games this season including four starts (1-3 record). He completed 109-of-166 passes (65.7 %) for 1,046 yards and 20 touchdowns despite three interceptions. Sauk was replaced at halftime by Connell Maynor in last Saturday's 65-58 loss to the New York Dragons after fumbling three quarterback - center exchanges in the first half. On the season Sauk fumbled 12 exchanges which resulted in six turnovers (six recovered).
The Soul return home for their last regular season home game of the season this Saturday, May 6 when they host the Dallas Desperados at the Wachovia Spectrum.
