May 10, 2007 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I)
Philadelphia Soul News Release
PHILADELPHIA - On Monday, May 14, as the Philadelphia Soul play Eastern Division rivals, the New York Dragons, wireless cell phones will be collected and donated to a charity at a later date. The wireless company will then refurbish and resell the phones, eliminating waste in the environment through recycling.
Those who wish to donate can drop off phones at one of the two collecting stations located at the Broad Street and 11th Street entrances inside the Wachovia Center.
Estimations show that over 120 million wireless devices will be disposed of by the end of the year. Wireless providers work to collect unused or old phones, refurbish and redistribute, because almost every part of a wireless phone is able to be recycled.
