October 24, 2013 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Soo Eagles News Release

It was only a year ago, when former Soo Eagles net minder Tyler Marble, was thrilling fans with his tremendous saves, impressive stats, and his leadership on and off the ice.

A three-year veteran of the North American Hockey League, Marble earned All-NAHL honors and Brian's Goaltender of the Year Award in 2012-13 after backstopping the Soo Eagles to a regular-season title in the North Division. He posted a save percentage of .938 and 1,463 stops led the league, while his five shutouts tied for second among NAHL netminders. Tyler also posted a 1.33 goals-against average and remarkable .980 saves ratio in a first-round playoff sweep of Port Huron.

Tyler has gone on to play college at Division 1 Colorado College, and even thought the Detroit, Michigan, is only a freshman, he is already making his mark. Marble logged 25 minutes of ice time, in the Tigers 8-4 victory against the US Under-18 team on October 12, making 11 saves on 12 shots, and played 20 minutes in Colorado College's 5-0 exhibition victory over New Brunswick, making 12 saves.
