
Sonar Gets Ready for the Games

Hartford, August 4, 2003 -- Sonar, the Hartford Wolf Pack's popular mascot, will be all over the Greater Hartford area in the coming days, including at several events surrounding the State Games of America. Following is his itinerary for the week:
* Thursday, August 7th: 9-11 AM - Z-Rink Indoor Multi-sport Facility (259 Eastern Blvd., Glastonbury, 860-657-3310), welcoming State Games of America roller hockey athletes as they arrive at the venue. 5-7 PM - Bushnell Park, Hartford, meeting and greeting participants and rooters at the River Run Corporate 5K road race.
* Saturday, August 9th: 11 AM-12:30 PM - WILI-98.3 FM ("I-98") Beach Party, Ocean Beach Park, New London, signing autographs and posing for photos. 2-4 PM - State Games of America "Fan Jam", State House Square, Downtown Hartford, hobnobbing with festival- goers alongside the Wolf Pack inflatable, which allows participants to test their puck-shooting skill and will be at the Fan Jam for the duration of the event (August 9-10 from noon-7 PM.
* Sunday, August 10th: noon-2 PM - State Games of America "Fan Jam", State House Square, Downtown Hartford. Sonar will be joined this day by the New York Rangers' "Road Tour", the ultimate Rangers interactive experience, which will be on hand at the Fan Jam from 12:30-4:30.
