March 24, 2022 - Major Arena Soccer League (MASL)
San Diego Sockers News Release
The San Diego Sockers today announced the signing and promotion of midfielder Dallin Cutler from SDSockers2 of M2ArenaSoccer. Cutler will travel with the Sockers on their East Coast road trip to Baltimore and Harrisburg this weekend.
Cutler, 28, has featured on SDSockers2 this season in three matches, collecting (3-2=5) points and one blocked shot. A two-time Pac-12 Academic All-American at San Diego State University (2016-17), Cutler helped lead the Aztecs to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in ten seasons in 2016. He went on to play outdoors with ASC San Diego in the NPSL, and 1904 FC in the NISA, before joining Sockers2 this season.
"We are always excited to see a young athlete work his way up from SDSockers2 to the big club," said Sockers general manager Sean Bowers, "At a time where our roster is impacted by injury, we need the depth of SDSockers2, and Dallin has demonstrated his ability to play."
Cutler was a standout athlete at Rancho Bernardo High School and has returned to his alma mater as the head coach of the boys' soccer team, earning CIF Division 1 Coach of the Year honors.
The Sockers play a pair of road matches this weekend, taking on Baltimore on Saturday, March 26 at 3pm PDT, and Harrisburg on Sunday, March 27 at 2pm PDT. San Diego then returns home for their final two matches of the regular season, hosting Florida Tropics Thursday, March 31 at 7:35pm, and Ontario Fury on Sunday, April 3 at 5:05pm. Tickets are available for both the Tropics and Fury match by visiting sdsockers.com/tickets, or calling (866) 799-GOAL.
