
Sockers Create Distance in West With 6-3 Win in Tijuana

TIJUANA, MEXICO--Dan Antoniuk scored two goals and added an assist as the San Diego Sockers (8-2 PASL-Pro) defeated Revolucion Tijuana 6-3 at Estadio Furati. Antoniuk scored both of his goals on the power play, the first giving San Diego a 2-1 lead in the first quarter, and the second opening up a 4-2 advantage in the fourth. Diego Rovira added his 10th and 11th goals of the year, Kraig Chiles had his team-leading 19th tally, and Anthony Medina had a goal and assist for the Sockers. Goalkeeper Riley Swift allowed a season-low three goals to improve his record to 7-2 on the season. Tijuana (5-3) had goals from Miguel Marino, Oliver Jimenez and Guillermo Lucero. San Diego next travels to Las Vegas on Friday for a U.S. Open Cup Western semifinal against the Las Vegas Knights, before returning home Saturday, January 29th to take on Revolucion Tijuana at the Del Mar Arena.
