Chicago Rush News Release
The Chicago Rush will select its 2007 SoBe Adrenaline Rush Dancers in front of a live audience and a panel of celebrity judges at 2 p.m. this Saturday, October 21, at Excalibur night club in Chicago, the team announced today.
The panel of celebrity judges who will help select the dancers includes: Diana Ditka, wife of Rush owner Mike Ditka; Jarrett Payton, son of the late Walter Payton; Matt Dahl and Brendan Greeley from Rush radio flagship WCKG-FM; Melissa McGurren and Cynthia Skolak from the Eric and Kathy Morning show on WTMX-FM; and Rush broadcaster Tom Dore.
Once selected, the 20 dancers will perform at all Rush 2007 home games as well as make appearances at Chicagoland events.
The process of choosing the 2007 squad began last weekend when more than 100 women attended the team's opening round of tryouts. Forty-three, including 12 members of the 2006 squad and 31 newcomers, advanced to the finals this weekend.
In addition to the celebrity judges, fans in attendance will have the opportunity to help choose the squad. All fans who attend the finals at Excalibur will be given a ballot and asked to vote for their favorite dancers.
Excalibur is located at 632 N. Dearborn Street in Chicago. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m. and admission is free, but is limited to those 21 and over, or those accompanied by an adult.
