Charleston RiverDogs News Release
LEXINGTON, KY. - It's a situation the Charleston RiverDogs are not all too familiar with. Snow postponed Saturday night's contest between the RiverDogs and the Lexington Legends at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. The two teams will play a pair of seven-inning contests in a doubleheader scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m.
The RiverDogs (0-2) will need a sweep of tomorrow afternoon's twin bill to come away with an Opening Weekend split with the Kansas City Royals farm club. Charleston has never begun a season 0-3 in 12 previous seasons while an affiliate of the Yankees.
Saturday's scheduled starter, Nick Nelson, will begin on the hill for Charleston in game one Sunday, followed by southpaw Dalton Lehnen, who makes his RiverDogs debut in game two. Radio coverage starts at 1 p.m. on WTMA 1250 AM and streaming live on the TuneIn radio app.
Upcoming
After four games in Lexington and three in Rome, the Dogs return home for their home opener on April 12 at The Joe.
RiverDogs single-game tickets, including options to the Riley Park Club, are now available for the 2018 campaign, the club's 25th season as the RiverDogs and their "175th season in dog years." Ticket information can be secured by contacting the box office at (843) 577-DOGS (3647) or online at www.riverdogs.com/tickets.
