Snappers Tickets To Go On Sale

The Beloit Snappers will begin selling individual game tickets Monday, February 2. Opening night is scheduled for April 8 when the Snappers host the Swing of the Quad Cities at 6:30 p.m. Beloit opens with a three game set against the Swing April 8-11. Some key series to keep an eye on are the April 24-27 and August 9-12 series' against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. The defending Midwest League Champions, the Lansing Lugnuts return in a rematch of the championship series from 2003, July 16-19.
The 2004 promotional schedule is sure to be a hit with many fans. This season the Snappers have scheduled five All-You-Can-Eat nights, on five different Mondays. Those dates are: May 10, June 14, July 19, August 9 and August 30. Fireworks will be back again during 2004. In 2003 there were eleven shows at Pohlman Field, there are twelve scheduled for 2004.
In 2003 the Snappers went 75-61 and earned a Western Division Crown in the second half of the season. The team also made a playoff push and reached the Midwest League Championship Series before being defeated by the Lansing Lugnuts. Prince Fielder set the franchise's single season RBI record at 112, which was previously held by Greg Vaughn. Fielder was also named the Midwest League's Most Valuable Player and Prospect of the Year.
