Columbus Cottonmouths News Release
Members of the Columbus Cottonmouths will be participating in a Beep Ball game this Friday, August 26 at 7 p.m. Beep ball is a form of baseball for the visually impaired, which features a beeping ball and buzzing bases. This event is in conjunction with Country's Barbeque's annual Midnight Run, which raises funds for the visually impaired.
Cottonmouths head coach Jerome 'Boom Boom' Bechard along with a few Snakes players will be participating in the game. The Snakes, along with other sponsors for the Midnight Run, will take on the world-champion Chicago Comets, a traveling beep ball team. All players will be blindfolded.
This event will take place in the softball stadium at South Commons and admission is free. Fans are encouraged to come out and support the Snakes as they take on these talented athletes. For more information about this event, visit http://www.countrysbarbeque.com/midnight-express/.
