Shreveport, LA-St. Joe (17-18) finished their first of two southern swings with a three-game sweep over Shreveport (17-18) with a 10-7 win in the finale. The game started an hour late due to rain and saw five lead changes before the ‘Snakes took their 12th victory in the last 14 games.

Shreveport held a 2-0 lead after two before St. Joe took their first lead, 3-2, with a three-run third inning. They took the lead on Jake Whitesides' two-run double, only to see Shreveport score twice in the home half to re-take the lead at 4-3.

The ‘Snakes went back in front with a three-run fifth on Terrell Merriman's two-run single at 6-4. The Sports went back ahead with three runs in the sixth, including the last two with two outs.

But the last lead change would put St. Joe ahead to stay with four runs in the eighth. Jake Whitesides knocked in the tying run with a fielder's choice grounder, and Wil Quintana singled in the go-ahead run. They added a pair of insurance runs on a pair of errors, as the Sports committed five errors in the game.

St. Joe's offense knocked out 12 hits to continue their hot stretch. Matt Johnson (3-2) picked up the win in relief.

Quintana extended his hitting streak to 14 games with a pair of hits and Whitesides drove in three.
