Snake Charmers Show Support For Charities

CHARLOTTE Â The Snake Charmers, the Carolina Cobras dance team, will be involved in fundraisers for the Special Olympics of Cabarrus County and Toys for Tots at the Cobras next home game when the team takes on the Tampa Bay Storm on Friday, April 11.
In exchange for a $10 donation to Special Olympics or a toy donation to Toys for Tots, fans will have the opportunity to have a picture taken with their favorite Snake Charmer on a Harley-Davidson. The event will take place on the Charlotte Coliseum concourse from 6:00-7:15 p.m. prior to the game.
The next morning, Saturday, April 12, members of the Snake Charmers squad will ride on motorcycles from the Charlotte Coliseum to Speedway Harley-Davidson in Concord, NC, where they will participate in a Special Olympics fundraiser.
"We're glad to have this opportunity to support both Special Olympics and Toys for Tots," said Snake Charmers choreographer Brandii McCoy. "We hope our fans will join us in this event and show their support as well."
The Special Olympics mission is to provide year-round athletic training and sports competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with mental retardation or closely related developmental disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families and other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is the authorized fund raising and support organization for the Toys for Tots Program. The Foundation provides the funding and support needed for successful annual toy collection and distribution campaigns.

Single-game tickets for all 2003 home games are available in the following prices: $8 (lower level end zones), $15 (lower level corners), $25 (lower level sideline) and $50 (lower level sideline).
