Smokies Come Back on Braves

Greenville, SC- Jeremy Dodson doubled home Scott Krause with the winning run in the top of the ninth inning and Mike Lyons nailed down his league leading seventh save as Tennessee won at Greenville 4-2 Sunday afternoon.

The game was scoreless until the seventh when Bucky Jacobsen scored on a sacrifice fly by Chris Weekly to put Tennessee on top 1-0. The G-Braves answered when Cory Aldridge connected for a two run home run off starter Rhett Parrott in the bottom half of the inning.

Tennessee tied it in the eighth inning on a sacrifice fly from Dennis Abreu and won it in the ninth against reliever Kevin Barry (0-2). Kevin Sprague tossed 1 2/3 scoreless innings to pick up his first win of the season.

The final game of the series and roadtrip is Monday night at 7:15. The Smokies return home to host West Tennessee Tuesday night at Smokies Park.
