Kenosha, Wis. - Two of the hardest hitters in the Northwoods League are coming back to Kenosha for the 2016 summer. Hunter Alexander and Pat McInerney, two strong right handers, helped the Kingfish accumulate a franchise record forty-seven home runs last year.

Hunter Alexander established himself as a force at the plate early into last season. He started the year off slow, but tallied 12 hits in his last 31 at bats to push his season average to .273. He was also able to smash two home runs and drive in 23 RBI before sustaining a season ending injury midway through June. Alexander finished his freshman year at St. John's River State, ranked the number one third baseman coming out of the state of Florida.

Pat McInerney will also be back in the Kingfish lineup. McInerney joined the Kingfish late after going deep into the NCAA tournament with the Illinois Fighting Illini.

For the Kingfish last season, McInerney hit two home runs. He came alive in the postseason, however, as he crushed two home runs in the playoffs. McInerney will attempt to lead the Fighting Illini on another deep season run before heading back to Kenosha.

The Kingfish will open up play this summer at home against the La Crosse Loggers on May 31 at 7:05 CST.
