Salt Lake City Stars News Release
SALT LAKE CITY - The Salt Lake City Stars, the NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, announced today a new collaboration with Roots Coffee & Co. that will add the Stars Signature Cold Brew to their menu for the remainder of the current G League season. A voucher for a free ticket to any Stars home game for the remaining season will be included with every purchase of the specialty drink. The team's first coffee collaboration will be available at both Roots Coffee & Co. locations (Salt Lake City, 774 S 300 W, and Sugarhouse, 1386 S 1100 E) beginning on Thursday, Feb. 22.
Roots Coffee & Co. opened the doors at their Salt Lake City location on March 13, 2021. The founders were born and raised in Utah, growing up with a love for sports, and, specifically Utah Jazz basketball. Roots Coffee & Co. prides themselves on the coffee experience, combining authenticity and quality, that has earned them the title Best Coffee Shop of Salt Lake City by Best of SLC, for three years straight (2021, 2022 and 2023).
"We love to get creative with our coffee experience. We are so thankful for this opportunity to collaborate with the Salt Lake City Stars, and showcase them in a new and fun way in the community," said Gina Soto, CEO of Roots Coffee & Co.
The Stars Signature Cold Brew features Roots' house cold brew with any choice of milk, topped with a blue, brown sugar cold foam - paying homage to the team's blue color palate. The drinks will be available until the Stars season comes to a close on Saturday, March 30.
Tickets for the Stars game on Feb. 23 at the Maverik Center are available for purchase at slcstars.com or the arena box office. The game will tip-off at 7 P.M. MT at the Maverik Center and will be broadcast live on Jazz+ and NBAGLeague.com.
