
Slappy to participate in anniversary celebration

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the United Hockey League and 2005-06 Central Division, Tarry Cup and Colonial Cup Champions, announce everybody's favorite mascot, Slappy will participate in Old Burdick's 15th Anniversary this Saturday, November 11th from 1-2 p.m.
Slappy will join other area mascots on "Kid's Day" this Saturday afternoon for games and a coloring contest. The afternoon party is part of the Old Burdick's 15th Anniversary. Established in 1991, Old Burdick's offers great food, family atmosphere and the best part, "Kids Eat Free."
Following the party, Slappy will return to Wings Stadium in preparations for the K-Wings 7:30 p.m. face-off versus the Chicago Hounds. Saturday night is U.S. Army and Win-Win Night; if the
K-Wings defeat the Hounds, everyone in attendance will receive a FREE ticket to November 15th contest against the Muskegon Fury.
Slappy will also be cheering on the K-Wings this Friday, November 10th, when Kalamazoo hosts their arch-rivals, the Fort Wayne Komets on Word of Life Night. The puck for this Friday's game will drop at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets for this weekend's action, as well as all regular season K-Wing home games are available at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office during regular business hours of Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturdays 10 a.m.-2 p.m. or by calling (269) 345-5101. During games, the Ticket Office Hours are extended though the second period. Fans can also purchase K-Wings tickets online at www.ticketmaster.com.
