Hounds Sign Veteran John Spoltore

Hoffman Estates, IL. Head Coach Greg Puhalski announced today that the Chicago Hounds have signed veteran center, John Spoltore. The native of Bridgeton, New Jersey has played in many leagues in his career, but this is the first go around in the UHL.

Spoltore spent the last five seasons playing in Germany and before that has played in both the AHL and ECHL where he averages over a point per game. Puhalski feels Spoltore will bring Veteran leadership to his team, "We are excited to have a player of John's caliber in our dressing room. He will help lead this team by example on and off the ice." Puhalski also announced that Defensemen Bryan Gent has been placed on waiver s.

The Hounds next game will tale place on November 10th when The Quad City Mallards make their way to the brand new Sears Centre on Friday night. The Sears Centre is an 11,000-seat state of the art multi-purpose family entertainment, sports and cultural center under construction in Hoffman Estates' Prairie Stone Business Park. Located right at I-90 and Route 59, it will host more than 135 events each year, and is projected to attract more than 750,000 annual visitors.
