Slammers Win Streak at Ten

Joliet, IL - The Joliet Slammers presented by ATI Physical Therapy beat the Windy City ThunderBolts 7-2 in game one of a double header Thursday night. The Slammers also took game two with a final score of 2-1 following a walk-off hit from Travis Bolin.
The Slammers got off to a quick start in the first game, scoring five runs in the first inning headlined by RJ Thompson hitting an RBI double that scored LJ Kalawaia and Danny Zardon stretching the lead to 5-1.
Thompson had an RBI single in the bottom of the 2nd that scored London Lindley making it 6-1 Slammers.
Trenton Hill concluded the scoring for the Slammers in the bottom of the 4th hitting a sacrifice fly that scored Zardon making it 7-1.
Windy City would score one more run but fall 7-2.
It would take extra innings in game two with Travis Bolin hitting a walk off RBI single to win it 2-1 for Joliet.
The Joliet Slammers extend their winning streak to ten games following Thursday night.
Tonight's Merchants and Manufacturers Bank Player of the Game is Travis Bolin who went 1-3 with the game winning hit and RBI in game two.
The Slammers are back home tomorrow to play against the Traverse City Beach Bums at 7:05 p.m. for Country Night.
