Miners Thursday Doubleheader at Normal Postponed

Normal, IL - The Southern Illinois Miners' scheduled doubleheader against the Normal CornBelters on Thursday, June 21st at The Corn Crib has been postponed due to heavy rains in Normal. One of the games will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Sunday, August 26th, when the CornBelters come to Rent One Park. The second game will not be made up.
Game times for August 26th will be announced at a later date.
The Miners' road trip continues on Friday, June 22nd, against the Evansville Otters at Bosse Field at 6:35 p.m. Geno Encina will make the start in the series opener for the Miners against Otters' right-hander Luc Rennie.
The Southern Illinois Miners are the Frontier League's winningest franchise since debuting in 2007, winning the 2012 Frontier League Championship as well as division titles in 2010, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
