Alabama Slammers News Release


COMING UP

The Slammers have a week off before hosting the Orlando Seals at the Pelham Civic Complex on Friday, November 21st at 7:05 pm. Fans who present an Iron Bowl ticket at the door shall receive $5.00 off the purchase of any Slammers game ticket. All games will be broadcast on www.irn.fm.

THIS SEASON

With losses at home vs. Jacksonville, the Slammers are still searching for the first win in franchise history. The team currently has a 0-1-1 record.

IN THE COMMUNITY

· Friday, November 14th, the Slammers will be reading to a group of students at Pleasant Grove Elementary to encourage young students to read during reading month.

· Friday, November 14th, the Riverchase Galleria will be holding their annual lighting ceremony. Alabama Slammers players as well as the Slammer Girls, Team Slam, and Hammer the team mascot will be there to enjoy the festivities and sign autographs at the Slammers team kiosk.

· Monday, November 17th, the Alabama Slammers and Slammer Girls will be at Renaissance Jewelers from 5-8 to sign autographs. The Slammer Girls will be performing at 7pm. There will be food, drinks and Music.

· Thursday, November 20th, The Slammers will be visiting the YWCA after care program. Players will be reading to the children to encourage the kids during reading week as well as educating the children about the game of hockey with a hockey 101 demonstration.

LEADING THE WAY

· Left Wing, Doug Lawrence (1G,1A) and Defenseman, Bobby Quinnell (0G,2A) lead the Slammers with 2 points.

FLEX PACKS
