Slammers Walk off vs Windy City Sunday Afternoon

Joliet, IL - The Joliet Slammers (3-6) presented by ATI Physical Therapy beat the Windy City Thunderbolts (5-3) by a score of 3-2 thanks to a walk off home run by Justin Garcia.

The Thunderbolts started their scoring in the top of the 2nd inning when Ronnie Healy singled in Tyler Straub putting Windy City on the board at 1-0. Riley Krane added on for Windy City after an RBI single in the top of the 5th that brought home Blair Beck making it 2-0.

RJ Thompson put the Slammers on the board with a two out two run single in the bottom of the 6th that scored Chaz Meadows and Trenton Hill tying the game at 2.

In the bottom of the 9th Justin Garcia hit a walk off home run winning it for the Slammers with a score of 3-2.

Justin Garcia is today's Merchant's and Manufacturers Bank Player of the Game after going 1-5 with his home run in the 9th winning it for the Slammers.

Joliet returns home Friday, May 25th vs. the Southern Illinois Miners. Friday night is Rock Night with another Fireworks Friday.
