
Slammers Have Two Named to Frontier League All-Star Team

JOLIET, IL - The Joliet Slammers are excited to announce that shortstop Chaz Meadows and starting pitcher Daren Osby have been selected to be Frontier League All-Stars. This is Meadows' second selection and Osby's first selection to the league All-Star team. The 2019 Frontier League All-Star team will face the Can-Am League All-Star team on Wednesday, July 10 at Palisades Credit Union Park, home of the Rockland Boulders.
Chaz Meadows - In his second selection for the Frontier League All-Star Team, Meadows has started 41 games at shortstop for the 2019 Season. With a Fielding Percentage of .958, he has had 57 Putouts and 103 Assists. With a Batting Average of .268, he has scored 19 Runs with 14 RBIs. Out of his 40 Hits, he has had 2 Doubles, and three Homeruns.
In his career with the Slammers, Meadows has played in 176 games. His career Batting Average is .250 with 57 RBIs, 65 Runs scored, and 11 Stolen Bases.
Daren Osby - In Osby's All-Star Team debut, he joins the Frontier League Team with a 2.67 ERA in 7 Starts. He has seen 40.1 Innings with 40 Strikeouts.
In his career with the Slammers, Osby has thrown 114.1 Innings with a record of 7-3.

All-Star events begin with the All-Star Charitable Luncheon featuring New York Yankees' broadcaster John Sterling on Tuesday, July 9. The Home Run Derby takes place that night and features former New York Yankees and Mets players Mookie Wilson, Jesse Barfield, and John Flaherty.
