
Slammers Drop Game Two to Boomers

JOLIET, IL - Another beautiful night for baseball as the Slammers head into game 2 of the 3 game series against the Schaumburg Boomers. The Slammers are coming off a win over the Boomers which put their record at 2-3 on the season. Bobby Milacki started on the mound for the Slammers.
Dylan Hardy was the leadoff hitter for the Slammers tonight, Hardy faced off against Kyle Arjona. Lane Baremore hit an RBI Single in the bottom of the first, bringing in Brylie Ware to put the Slammers on top with a 1-0 lead.
A series of RBI's by the Boomers brought in 4 runs to take the lead in the top of the 4th. Milacki ended the top of the fourth with a strikeout, the Boomers leading the game 4-1. The bottom of the 4th was scoreless for the Slammers.
The top of the 5th the Slammers brought in Brad VanAsdlen to take over for Milacki. As the 5th came to a close the Slammers were down 5-1. The 6th inning was scoreless as the Slammers still trail the Boomers.
Keaton Sullivan took the mound in the 7th and the remainder of the game was uneventful as neither team scored. Slammers lose 5-1, tying up the series 1-1. They return for the final game of the series tomorrow at 7:05pm.
