Minot, ND - September 25, 2007 - The Minot Skyrockets participated in the 2007-08 CBA Draft tonight. They drafted a total of seven players in the six-round draft, with one extra pick from a previous trade agreement. Head Coach Chris Daleo selected:
Larry Turner
- Center
- 6-11, 240
- Tennessee State Tigers (transferred from Oklahoma in 2005)
- Averaged 5.8 ppg and 6.1 rpg in 2006-07 with the Tigers
- 2007 NBA Summer League/Pre-Season - Los Angeles Lakers
- Averaged 7.4 ppg and 5.2 rpg
- Signed as a free agent with the Lakers on August 23, 2007
Brad Brickens
- Guard
- 6-5, 190
- Texas A&M - Commerce (transferred from Texas State)
- Averaged 8.0 ppg and 2.6 rpg in 2006-07
Jeremy Overstreet
- Paine College
- 4.9 ppg and 9.0 rpg
- Led the SIAC in field goal percentage (56%), rebounds (234, 9.0 per game) and blocked shots (105, 4.0 per game)
- Led the nation in blocked shots

"The draft went according to plan. Everything was checked out ahead of time with the league, the players, and their agents. Minot will be happy with the rookies that come into camp, and we should have a good mix of rookies and veterans in camp. And we will be selecting a team from there," said Daleo.
