In another roster move Wednesday, the Skyhawks signed rookie right-handed pitcher Tim Stringer to take the place of Jaime Douglas.

Newcomer Tim Stringer, a New Brunswick native, played for Montclair State from 2005-08, compiling a 14-20 record in 66 games with a 5.31 ERA. He was primarily a starter in college but for now will be used out of the bullpen. Last season, Stringer played for the River City Rascals of the Frontier League.
