The New Jersey Jackals rolled out to a 5-1 lead after two innings and held on late to a 7-5 win over the Brockton Rox. 1B Myron Leslie and SS Mike DeJesus went a combined 4-for-6 at the plate with four runs scored and four RBI. Leslie chipped in with his 11th home run of the season. New Jersey starting pitcher Stuart Pomeranz evened his record at 5-5 on the season with the victory. Pomeranz went 5 1/3 innings allowing four earned runs on nine hits with a strikeout. 2B Melvin Falu went 3-for-4 with a run scored for Brockton.

Quebec 10, Sussex 9

Quebec scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning to rally past the Sussex Skyhawks and sweep the three game series. Capitales SS Ivan Naccarata went 3-for-5 with a run scored while 3B Pat Deschenes had a two-hit day and drove in a pair of runs. Jason Schutt was the winner in relief for Quebec going 1 1/3 innings allowing a run and a hit. He is now 3-3 on the year. For the Skyhawks in defeat, 2B Chris Brown went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run and six RBI.

Worcester 5, New Hampshire 3

Worcester jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first inning and never trailed, en route to its sixth win of the second half. New Hampshire did provide a bit of a scare for the Tornadoes when they cut a 5-1 deficit to 5-3 in the ninth inning, but Worcester closer Santiago Ramirez was able to shut the door on the American Defenders' comeback effort. Tornadoes starting pitcher Chris Farley collected his third win. He allowed three hits and struck out eight in seven innings of work. Worcester C Alex Trezza did the bulk of the damage at the plate, going 4-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI.
