Skyforce Acquires Lucas

Sioux Falls, S.D. (Jan. 11, 2013) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that the team has acquired guard Jai Lucas. He is expected to be in uniform tonight as the Skyforce hosts the Rio Grande Valley Vipers at 7 p.m. CT. The active roster now stands at 11 players.

Lucas averaged 7.8 points and 2.5 rebounds in 12 games with the Idaho Stampede this season. He was selected by the Stampede in the sixth round (83rd overall) of the 2012 NBA D-League Draft. The 5-10, 160-pound guard finished his collegiate career at the University of Texas after playing one season at the University of Florida. He was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team after averaging 8.5 points and 2.3 assists while shooting a team-high 43.5 percent from the 3-point line (37-of-85).
