Reno Bighorns News Release
RENO, NV - The Reno Bighorns (8-8) got back to .500 for the first time since December 8 after cruising past the Idaho Stampede (4-15) in Boise Friday night for their fourth-straight win.
The Bighorns were led by Memphis Grizzlies' assignee Tony Wroten's 21 points. Wroten, who today was assigned to Reno for the third time this season, repeatedly used his speed to get past Stampede defenders and drive to the bucket. Jerome Jordan recorded a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Walker Russell, Jr. set a season-high with 12 assists on the night.
The Stampede got 17 points from Josh Owens and Coby Karl each.
The two teams shooting percentage was almost identical, but the Bighorns attempted 19 more field goals than the Stampede, shooting 45.2% from the field (42-93). The Stampede went 34-74 from the field, for a 45.9% shooting percentage. Reno also out-rebounded Idaho 52-38.
The two teams face off again on Saturday night at 6 p.m. PST in Boise. The game can be seen live and for free on nbadleague.com via Youtube.
