Santa Cruz Warriors Acquire Edwin Ubiles

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The Santa Cruz Warriors have acquired guard/forward Edwin Ubiles as a returning player. He has been placed on the inactive list while he trains as part of a recovery from an injury. He will be with the team when they take on the Tulsa 66ers tonight.

Ubiles, 26, averaged 19.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 41 games with the Dakota Wizards last season. The 6'6", 204-pound guard/forward received a GATORADE Call-Up last season to the Washington Wizards and averaged 3.5 points and 2.5 rebounds in 13 minutes played over 4 games. In his first year in the NBA D-League, Ubiles was named 2012 Rookie of the Year, and he was a member of the All D-League 1st Team and All-Rookie 1st Team. A product of Siena College, Ubiles played 5 games in NBA Summer League last season with the Chicago Bulls and Brooklyn Nets, and he was a member of the 2011 Golden State Warriors training camp roster

The Santa Cruz Warriors will tip-off tonight against the Tulsa 66ers at 7:00 p.m. PST at the Kaiser Permanente Arena.
