Skycats start high school volunteer program

New Jersey SkyCats News Release


Mahwah, NJ- The New Jersey Skycats have started a program that helps reach out to High School students who have an interest in learning about professional basketball. Students will be receiving credit through their respective schools or a recommendation letter to potential colleges.

Students can learn about sports journalism, marketing, promotions, public relations, web designing, basketball and game operations, and TV and radio project that are involved with pro sports.

"This is a program that the Skycats are very proud to be involved with". Said program organizer Randy Zellea. "This will help give students the opportunity to help give direction for student who have interest in sports but don't know how to get involved, we want them to have an experience which they will be able to build on for years to come."

Students will be involved with game night activates as well as other projects outside the basketball court.
