Sky Blue FC News Release
Howell, N.J. - Sky Blue FC has partnered with the Veteran Tickets Foundation, also known as Vet Tix, ahead of the club's Memorial Day weekend game on Saturday, May 25 at 6 p.m. against the Portland Thorns. Active and veteran military personnel will be recognized and honored during the game.
"Vet Tix is a fantastic organization that has given us the opportunity to give back to service members and their families," said Alyse LaHue, Sky Blue FC General Manager. "Seeing their photos after every Sky Blue home game is an incredible joy for us, so we look forward to hosting members during our Memorial Weekend celebration, as well as throughout the remaining home games this season."
Vet Tix is a national non-profit, founded in 2008, whose mission is to secure and distribute tickets to sporting events, concerts, performing arts, educational and family activities across the nation to military and veteran families. Their goal is to help reduce stress, make events affordable, minimize post-traumatic stress, strengthen family bonds and encourage VetTixers to re-engage with local communities and American life. Vet Tix spends over 95 percent of its revenue on programs, ensuring that we give back to those who have given so much.
"Sky Blue FC truly understands our mission to give back to our veterans," said Vet Tix Ticket Operations Officer Jennifer K. Kirk, MSgt, United States Air Force, Retired (1992-2012). "We appreciate that Sky Blue FC recognizes the value of taking care of those that serve and take care of us."
Active military personnel and veterans can obtain tickets by creating a Vet Tix account. Once you have created an account and your military service has been verified by Vet Tix, you may start requesting tickets for our upcoming matches. General tickets to all Sky Blue FC home games are available now by calling 888-SBFC-TIX or by visiting skybluefc.com.
