SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled forward Bryan Lerg from the Worcester Sharks (AHL).

The 29-year-old Lerg led Worcester in points (41) and assists (28) in 66 AHL games this season with the Sharks at the time of his call-up. He has recorded 13 goals, a plus-four rating and 10 penalty minutes as Worcester's captain.

In 346 career AHL games with Springfield, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Lake Erie and Worcester, Lerg has recorded 195 points (89 goals, 106 assists) and 110 penalty minutes. Prior to turning pro in 2008, Lerg spent four seasons with Michigan State (2004-2008), helping the Spartans win the 2008 NCAA National Hockey Championship. He also represented the United States at the 2004 U-18 World Junior Championship, helping the US win a silver medal by collecting two goals and six assists in six games at the tournament.

The five-foot-ten. 175-pound native of Livonia, MI, was signed by San Jose as a free agent on July 10, 2014.
