Frisco RoughRiders News Release

FRISCO, Texas - Frisco RoughRiders games are coming to Sportsradio 1310 and 96.7 FM The Ticket.

The RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, announced Thursday that six Saturday home games will be broadcast on The Ticket, starting with this Saturday's game against the Arkansas Travelers (Seattle Mariners) at 7:05 p.m. It marks the team's return to The Ticket after broadcasting games on the station for the club's first three seasons.

The Ticket is not only well-known throughout the DFW Metroplex but nationwide for its scintillating sports talk, fused with off-the-wall discussions about the burning topics in the sports world. That same style will come through during the six Riders broadcasts, featuring Riders broadcaster Ryan Rouillard (play-by-play), The Ticket's Sean Bass (color analyst), and Riders broadcaster Melanie Newman (dugout reporter).

"After spending our first three seasons on The Ticket, we couldn't be more thrilled to return to these legendary airwaves," new Riders President & General Manager Andy Milovich said. "When you fuse our brand of baseball with The Ticket's brand of sports talk, we think DFW sports fans will thoroughly enjoy what we have to offer."

The broadcasts will offer fans a chance to learn more about the RoughRiders and the next wave of Texas Rangers currently being developed. The current Riders roster features five top-30 Rangers prospects, including two-time Gold Glove catcher Jose Trevino and right-handed pitcher Ariel Jurado, who made his Major League debut with the Rangers on May 19.

"Baseball really comes to life on radio, and in the hands of Sean and Ryan, RoughRiders fans and Ticket P1s are going to enjoy the way these guys call the games on Saturday nights this summer," The Ticket Program Director Jeff Catlin said.

Broadcasts are accessible on 1310 AM and 96.7 FM throughout the DFW Metroplex and available online worldwide at TheTicket.com and RidersBaseball.com.
