Spokane Shock News Release
Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today that the arenafootball2 League Office has assigned OL/DL TJ Sitake (se-TAK-EE) to their inaugural roster. To make room on their active roster for Sitake, WR/DB York Frierson was placed on recallable reassignment.
Sitake, 6-4 275, is an af2 rookie who played for the BYU Cougars as a teammate of current Shock player Moa Peaua. During his season senior season at BYU, Sitake played in all 12 games - racking up 17 tackles including an assisted tackle for a three yard loss.
"TJ has great size and quick feet," General Manager Adam Nebeker said. "He should help shore up our line that has been plagued with injuries."
Sitake will be eligible to play as the Shock travel to Everett this Friday, where they will take on the Hawks for their second meeting of the season.
Tickets are still available aboard the "SHOCK WAVE BUS." Tickets are $60 and include a roundtrip bus ticket to Everett, a ticket to the game, and a commemorative "SHOCK THE HAWKS" T-Shirt. Food and drink will be served on the bus that will depart Friday morning at 10 AM. Tickets must be reserved in advance by calling 509 242 7462.
