Edinburg Roadrunners News Release
Edinburg Roadrunners shortstop Aaron Sisk was sold to the Chicago Cubs organization on Monday, the first CBL player sold to a major league organization since the season began May 5.
The Fort Worth, Texas, native was hitting .333 with three home runs and nine RBI in nine games during the 2005 season, his third with the Roadrunners. Sisk, 26, hit 33 home runs and 36 doubles and had 93 RBI during his previous two seasons, helping to lead Edinburg to the 2004 CBL championship and a 128-65 two-year record.
Before his stint with the Roadrunners, Sisk was a seventh-round pick in the 2000 draft by the Toronto Blue Jays out of New Mexico State University, and spent three years in the Jays' system, making it as high as single-A Dunedin in 2002.
