SIOUX CITY, IA - The Musketeers were back home on Saturday night to take on the Sioux Falls Stampede for Cross Check Cancer night. They pulled off a big bounce back win over the Stampede, winning this one in overtime 4-3.

Once again it would be the Musketeers who would strike first, thanks to the league's leading scorer, Martin Pospisil. Pospisil got Sioux City on the board with a pretty backhand shot that beat Chad Veltri to put Sioux City up 1-0 at the 11:24. Sioux Falls would manage to find the equalizer with just 0.5 seconds to play in the period, sending both teams to the locker room tied at one.

The 2nd period would be all Sioux Falls tonight. Jared Westcott put the Stampede up 2-1 at the 3:31 mark and Cade Borchardt would bookend the period with another Stampede goal at the 16:11 mark to give Stampede a 3-1 advantage.

After a tough loss the night before and a tough first two periods, the Musketeers knew they needed to find some magic in the third, and find it they did.

Matt Miller, using his big body to crash the net, brought the Musketeers within one at the 13:58 mark. Parker Ford and Luke Johnson had assists on the goal. It would be the Musketeers youngest player who would tie the game up for Sioux City with less than three minutes to play. The Musketeers got the puck in deep and sustained some excellent pressure on the Stampede before the puck found its way to Anthony Kehrer at the point. Kehrer ripped a shot from the blueline that found its way through traffic and past Chad Veltri to tie the game at 3. Sioux City couldn't pull out the win in regulation, so this one would go to overtime.

The good news: OT wouldn't take long thanks to Bobby Brink. Brink scored a beautiful backhand shot just 19 seconds into OT give the Musketeers a much-needed two points.

Ben Kraws had another solid night in net stopping 15 of 18 shots, while Veltri had 22 of 26 for Sioux Falls.

The Musketeers will have a quick turnaround as Waterloo comes to town for a Tuesday night matchup. Puck drop is set for 7:05 pm.
