If you ever wanted a chance to dine with some of the Silverbacks, here's your chance.
The Miami Valley Silverbacks are taking part in the Montgomery County 4-H auction Friday, April 11 with a dinner for two with some members of the team on the agenda.
The dinner will take place at the B.D. Mongolian Grill at The Greene at a date to be announced. The Silverbacks will also have a pair of tickets to an upcoming game available in the auction.
The auction takes place on April 11 at the round house at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds beginning at 7 p.m. and will benefit 4H in a number of ways.
Proceeds from the auction will help with program supplies and equipment, transportation for educational tours and field trips, recognition and participation awards, workshops, sponsorship for teen delegates, reaching new and under-served youth audiences among other things.
The Montgomery County 4-H is a youth development program of The Ohio State University extension, serving youths five to 18 through clubs which meet monthly in their community. In Montgomery County, two staff members are assisted by over 200 adult volunteers and nearly 80 teen volunteers.
The Silverbacks return home April 12 when they host New England. Kickoff is set for 7:30 at Rapid Fire Field at Hobart Arena in Troy. Tickets are available at the Hobart Arena box office or online at www.hobartarena.com.
