CELEBRATE THE FOURTH WITH FIREWORKS AND FUTBOL; ATLANTA SILVERBACKS WILL HOST MONTERREY ON JULY 12
Silverbacks Women Head Into Heat of Playoff Hunt
In their annual holiday celebration, the Atlanta Silverbacks will offer fans an exciting match of soccer followed by fireworks on Wednesday, July 4th at RE/MAX Greater Atlanta Stadium. The 'Backs will take on their long-time rival, the Charleston Battery at 7:55 pm - the first 500 fans through the stadium gates will receive 2007 Silverbacks team posters.
The Silverbacks, now eighth in the USL First Division, are coming off a 2-0 win over the Rochester Raging Rhinos. Before falling to the Silverbacks, the Rhinos were undefeated at home and they continue to be the highest scoring team in the league (despite their shutout from the Silverbacks). Charleston sits in sixth place with just three more points than Atlanta; after falling twice this season to the Battery, the Silverbacks will be hungry for revenge and another regular season win.
