Atlanta Silverbacks News Release
The Atlanta Silverbacks will play the Seattle Sounders on Sunday, September 4 at 5:30 p.m. in what may be the final game the club ever plays at the James Hallford/DeKalb Memorial Stadium. Unless the Silverbacks win the last three games of the regular season the playoffs may be out of reach and that makes this final home game of the regular season an absolute must-win for Atlanta.
The Silverbacks (9-13-3) are No. 7 in the USL First Division Standings with 30 points, just two points away from the sixth and final playoff spot presently held by the Portland Timbers (8-8-8).
Seattle sits at No. 5 in the standings with a 9-4-11 record. Come and see a very small piece of history as Fabian Dawkins, still second in league standings with 12 goals and 27 points, attempts to lead Atlanta into the playoffs.
