December 31, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Buffalo Silverbacks News Release

Buffalo, NY. The Buffalo Silverbacks defeated the Quebec City Kebekwa Saturday night at Buffalo State College Arena, 110-98. This is Buffalo's 7th win in their last 8 home games and perpetuates the momentum they've gained by evening their record at 7-7. After kicking off the season with a 4 game losing streak, Buffalo is on the comeback trail and leveraging their assets on the floor better than ever before. As a testament to this, Saturday night's game was another well balanced scoring attack with 5 of Buffalo's players in double digits.

Lamar Castile led the way with 29 points, KaRon Barnes and Todd Jones contributed 15, Johnny "Spyderman" Tyson had 13 points, 12 rebounds and Marlin Johnson threw down 11 points.

The Thruway rivalry continues on Sahlen's Family Night - next Friday, Jan 5th as the Rochester Razorsharks head West on the I-90 and make another trip to Buffalo. These Western New York ABA teams are so close that either team could grab dinner in their home town and still have plenty of time to make tip off at the other's venue. If you haven't witnessed these arch rivals battle one another yet, you don't want to miss this one, as it is Buffalo's final time to host Rochester. Doors open 7:30pm, tip off 8:05pm at Buffalo State College Arena.
