THIS WEEK'S GAMES

Tuesday, May 31 at Los Angeles Sparks @ STAPLES Center 9:30 p.m. KSLJ 810AM

This will be the first of three contests between the Silver Stars and Sparks in the regular season. The two teams met in the preseason where the Sparks picked up an 82-74 victory over the Silver Stars on May 6 at the SBC Center. Last season Los Angeles took the series 4- 0. San Antonio trails in the all-time series 8-21. The Silver Stars and Sparks will face-off again late in the season, when Los Angeles makes the trip to the Alamo City on August 5 and August 26.

Thursday, June 2 vs. Charlotte Sting @ SBC Center 7:00 p.m. The Ticket 760AM

This will mark the first of two meetings between San Antonio and Charlotte. The Silver Stars and the Sting split the season series last year 1-1 with each team winning at home. San Antonio trails Charlotte in the all-time series 8-9. The teams will continue their series on June 23 in Charlotte. This will be the first of two meetings between the Silver Stars and the Sun in 2005. San Antonio and Connecticut split the season series last year 1-1 with each team winning at home. The all-time series record has the Silver Stars down 4-5. San Antonio and Connecticut meet again within a week on June 11 at the SBC Center.

This week in 2002 the Utah Starzz tied a franchise record after grabbing 20 offensive rebounds vs. Portland (5/30/02). Coming into this week Silver Stars forward Nikki McCray is just one point shy from 2,500 points for her career. She will become just the 18th player in WNBA history to score 2,500 points in her career. Tai Dillard and Dalma Ivanyi have been activated from the injured list and were replaced with Kendra Wecker (torn right ACL) and Bernadette Ngoyisa (left knee contusion).
