THIS WEEK'S GAMES:

Friday, July 9 vs. Los Angeles Sparks @ SBC Center 7:00 p.m. KSJL 810 AM This will be the second meeting between the Silver Stars and Sparks. Los Angeles took the first meeting of the season on July 2 but not before San Antonio forced the game to overtime. The Silver Stars are 8-18 all-time against the Sparks, but with a win in this contest can take a 7-6 advantage in games played at home. Their next meeting of the season will be in San Antonio on July 31 at 7:00 p.m., in the Silver Stars final game before the Olympic break. The two teams will play their final meeting of the season on Sept. 1 in Los Angeles at Staples Center.

Promotions/Giveaways: The first 2,000 female fans in attendance will receive a free cosmetic bag courtesy of Secret.

Monday, July 12 at Seattle Storm @ KeyArena 9:00 p.m. WB35, The Ticket 760 AM This will be the third and final meeting between the Silver Stars and Storm. The Storm have won the first two contests this season, but San Antonio leads the all-time series 9-6 and still hold a two-game advantage at KeyArena, 5-3. San Antonio has never been swept in the season series by the Storm.

LAST WEEK'S GAMES:

Tuesday, June 29 vs. Phoenix Mercury L 77-65

Anna DeForge scored 26 points and Penny Taylor added nine of her 14 during a decisive second-half run as the Phoenix Mercury defeated the San Antonio Silver Stars, 77-65 ... Adrienne Goodson and Shannon Johnson scored 14 points each for the Silver Stars, who had their two-game winning streak snapped.

Thursday, July 1 at Seattle Storm L 76-52

Seattle opened the contest on a 14-2 run and never looked back, grabbing a 43-20 lead at halftime ... Lauren Jackson scored 13 points in the first half and Sue Bird scored 12 in the second half to help the Storm pull away ... Adrienne Goodson was the only Silver Stars player to score in double figures.

Friday, July 2 at Los Angeles Sparks L 87-80 OT

Mwadi Mabika came up big in overtime for the Los Angeles Sparks, scoring the first 10 points en route to a Sparks victory ... Silver Stars guard Marie Ferdinand suffered a dislocated right elbow following a collision with teammate Shannon Johnson with 16:23 left in the second half ... the Silver Stars now stand at 1-2 in overtime games.
