SILVER STARS QUOTES

Silver Stars Head Coach Dan Hughes

"Obviously we're still putting our chemistry together. I have to give Sheryl Swoopes credit. She played an outstanding game, especially from the standpoint that we showed her attention. We were inconsistent on both offense and defense throughout the game. I thought we showed heart the second half in the way we played. It was good to see some players step up in certain situations"

"Marie (Ferdinand) had an outstanding second half. Katie (Feenstra) off the bench did a nice job. Kendra (Wecker) we hope is okay. One of the keys to the game was Shannon Johnson getting in foul trouble. When you play catch up, every possession is valuable. We have a lot of work to do, but if we play with heart, we'll be able to change up some things."

Guard Marie Ferdinand

"We showed we weren't willing to give up. They jumped on us from the beginning, but we didn't back down. We continued to fight. We showed the will to fight and we cut the lead to five. It was a good team effort."

"We didn't come out as aggressive as we should have at home. We continued to fight throughout the game. Now we need to build off it."

"It's going to take some time. We're still trying to learn each other. In time we'll gel with each other and get better."
