Silver Stars Single-Game Tickets Go On Sale April 9

SAN ANTONIO - Beginning Thursday, April 9 at 10 a.m. CDT, San Antonio Silver Stars fans will have their first opportunity to purchase individual game tickets for the 2009 season by calling 1-877-WNBA-TIX or by visiting either SASilverStars.com, Ticketmaster.com or wnba.com/tickets. Tickets also will be available for purchase at team box offices, Ticketmaster outlets and the NBA Store in New York.

The defending Western Conference Champion Silver Stars open the season on the road at Phoenix before coming home to host the New York Liberty Saturday, June 13 with Dads and Daughter's night in honor of Father's Day. A WNBA Finals rematch with Detroit Aug. 29 at 2 p.m., and games with conference rival Los Angeles on Friday, Aug. 21 and Saturday, Sept. 5 highlight the 2009 schedule. The Silver Stars close out the regular season with Fan Appreciation Night Saturday, Sept. 12 when they host the Seattle Storm.

The WNBA and its 13 member teams are partnering with Ticketmaster in this league-wide initiative with tickets going on sale at 10 a.m. local time in every market.

The single-game tickets on-sale date is scheduled for the morning of the 2009 WNBA Draft presented by adidas, which will be at NBA Entertainment studios in Secaucus, N.J., and televised live on ESPN2 at 2 p.m. CT.
