Reno Silver Sox News Release
It was not a good night for Silver Sox starting pitcher Mike Reeves (0-2) as he only played three innings in which he gave up seven hits and eight runs in the 17-6 blowout loss to the Orange County Flyers Friday night. The night wasn?t a total loss though as 3B John Hattig doubled in the first and hit a two run shot in the third to give him three RBIs on the night.
RP Shawn Ravenscraft pitched four innings allowing seven hits and five runs. The Orange County Flyers managed to score on the Sox pitching staff in all but two innings. Besides Hattig?s three RBIs, only LF Ryan Crespi and DH Ryan Brown were able to drive in any runs. The Silver Sox bats remained quiet after the third inning as the Flyers took care of business in Reno again. RP Jason Cline gave up three hits and four runs in his two innings to end the game.
Tomorrow the Silver Sox conclude the series with the Flyers at 7 P.M. at Peccole Park in Reno. Also remember that tomorrow, June 7, is St Mary?s T-Shirt night where the first 500 fans the pass through the gates at Peccole Park will receive a free t-shirt courtesy of St. Mary?s. Also, following the game there will be an amazing fireworks display. Purchase your tickets for tomorrow?s game or any other of the Reno Silver Sox home game by visiting the Silver Sox ticket booth before the game.
