Reno Silver Sox News Release
The Reno Silver Sox were finally able to capture their first win last night, May 29, 15 ? 5 against the St. George Roadrunners in St. George.
The Silver Sox amassed 20 hits over the course of the game with 25 percent of them coming from RF Juan Senreiso. Senreiso, who has been marred by a 2 ? 20 slump, appears to have broken out of it going 5 ? 6, with a three-run homerun, a double, scored four runs, and drove in four RBIs.
However, this was definitely a team effort as every Silver Sox player helped in the action; 1B Steve Alexander went 3 ? 5 with a double, scoring one run and driving in three RBIs, 3B John Hattig went 2 ? 4 with a double, scoring four runs, and driving in a run, C DJ Dixon went 1 ? 5, but scored once and drove in three RBIs.
Silver Sox starter Marc Kaiser earned the win for the Silver Sox as he got plenty of offense. Kaiser pitched seven strong innings for the Silver Sox allowing three earned runs off of 9 hits and striking out six Roadrunners.
The Silver Sox play the Roadrunners on Friday and Saturday before retuning home for a two game series against the Long Beach Armada on Wednesday, June 4, with a first pitch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. Don?t forget fans that Wednesday, June 4, is also Family Night at Peccole Park. Just $14 gets an entire family General Admission tickets for Wednesday Night?s game.
