Sidney Holmes teams up with Nike Shots

If any Lightning fans were watching ESPN over the weekend, they might have seen a familiar face. Lightning power forward Sidney Holmes is starring in a television commercial which is currently airing. The commercial is called "Like This" and it is promoting Nike's new shoe line "Nike Shots". In the commercial, Sidney can be seen playing basketball with NBA superstars Shawn Marion and Richard Jefferson.
"Lightning General Manager Michael Neville called and asked me to go to the audition for the commercial," said Holmes. "It took one day to complete the shooting but it was fun."
"We routinely receive calls from talent scouts looking for our player," said Neville. "I thought that Sidney would be perfect for this commercial. I am glad it worked out." As a rookie last year, Holmes played in 47 games for the Lightning and started 7 of them and shot an amazing 59% from the floor.
"I am hoping to re-sign with Rockford as soon as possible" said Holmes. "I felt that my game has improved over the summer and I want the chance to compete again."
